Tây Mỗ lead Group A of Vietnam's 2026 national third division after beating Bình Định FC 2-0 on 15 October. The Vietnam Football Federation's matchday report gives them six points from two wins, with five goals scored and one conceded. An Giang and Đồng Tháp share the leading points total in Group B after drawing 1-1.
Promotion remains the longer-term target
The competition runs from 12 October to 9 November, with 12 teams divided into two groups. A double round-robin determines the standings, and the top two in each group qualify for the 2027 national second division. Early points matter, although promotion has not yet been settled.
Behind Tây Mỗ, the Hà Nội third-division team and Bình Định FC have three points each, occupying second and third respectively. Hà Nội Bulls and Ninh Bình's Sports Centre II have one point, while Vạn Xuân Đan Phượng remain without a point after their completed fixture.
The other Group A result on 15 October was Hà Nội's 4-2 victory over Ninh Bình Sports Centre II.
Group B stays closely contested
An Giang and Đồng Tháp each have four points following their draw. STP Food TP.HCM defeated Đồng Nai 3-0, while Khánh Hòa's training and sports development centre beat Hồ Chí Minh United 5-3.
STP Food TP.HCM, Đồng Nai and Khánh Hòa consequently sit on three points in the federation's table. Hồ Chí Minh United have none from two matches. Only one point separates the leading pair from that chasing group, leaving substantial scope for the order to change before the promotion places are decided.
