Đồng Tháp tightened their grip on Group B of Vietnam's 2026 Third Division (Giải hạng Ba quốc gia) on 27 October, beating STP Food TP.HCM 2-0 with two late goals as the competition opened its second leg with round six. In Group A, Hà Nội Bulls and Vạn Xuân Đan Phượng both won 1-0 to stay on the heels of leaders Tây Mỗ, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) website and Báo Văn Hóa.

Group A: two narrow wins

Hà Nội Bulls needed until first-half stoppage time to break down Trung tâm Thể thao II Ninh Bình (TTTT II Ninh Bình) at the Đan Phượng ground, Ngô Văn Dũng scoring the only goal in the 45+1 minute. At the same venue, Nguyễn Quốc Khánh got the winner for Vạn Xuân Đan Phượng against Bình Định FC.

Both winners now have 10 points and sit second and third behind Tây Mỗ. Đội hạng Ba Hà Nội are fourth on 9 points, Bình Định FC have 4 points and TTTT II Ninh Bình 2 points. Báo Văn Hóa noted that the top of the group is still open because Tây Mỗ and Đội hạng Ba Hà Nội have yet to play their round-six game.

Group B: Đồng Tháp leave it late

Đồng Tháp had to wait until the 87th minute at the Tiền Giang ground, when Nguyễn Công Vinh broke the deadlock, and a second goal in stoppage time (90+3) made it 2-0. It was their fifth win in six matches and keeps them 3 points clear of second-placed An Giang.

An Giang kept pace with a 1-0 win over Hồ Chí Minh United at Sơn Quy, Nguyễn Văn Vinh scoring in the 30th minute. Đồng Nai beat Trung tâm Huấn luyện và Đào tạo Thể thao Khánh Hòa 2-1: Trần Lê Bảo Tuấn opened the scoring in the 17th minute, Nguyễn Võ Hữu Lĩnh equalised in the 51st and Nguyễn Tuấn Sang won it in the 74th. Đồng Nai move up to third on 12 points, 1 point behind An Giang.
