Thailand will face Brunei and Oman will meet Tajikistan in the 2026 King's Cup semi-finals following the October 19 draw. Sisaket will host the tournament on November 14 and 17.

Oman and Tajikistan play at 4pm on November 14, followed by Thailand against Brunei at 7.30pm. The winners meet in the final at 7.30pm on November 17, after the third-place match at 4pm that day.

Sisaket hosts for the first time

FAT president Madam Pang welcomed the tournament's first visit to Sisaket, pointing to local support and preparations involving match facilities, training grounds and accommodation.

According to FAT information cited by Thanh Niên, the games will be recognised as senior international A matches and count towards the FIFA rankings. Each team will play twice through the semi-final and placement-match format.

Oman and Brunei are both making their first appearances in the competition.

Brunei entered after Bahrain withdrew

Bahrain were originally planned as invitees but withdrew. Organisers then brought in Brunei to preserve the four-team event. The report lists Brunei as 196th in the world at the time of the draw.

That difference in standing led some Thai supporters to consider the opening match favourable for the hosts. Their confident reactions describe expectations, while a place in the final must still be earned on November 14.

Thailand's immediate task is to turn their perceived advantage into a result. Brunei face the hosts on their tournament debut, while the Oman-Tajikistan match determines the other finalist.
