Visits and revenue in the first nine months

Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens reported after-tax profit of 5.64 billion dong for the first nine months of 2026, up 17% year on year. Net revenue exceeded 156.9 billion dong, nearly 29% higher, according to the financial report cited by VnExpress.

Including financial revenue and other income, total revenue was 160.3 billion dong, up 27% and equivalent to 94% of the annual plan. More than 1.9 million entrance tickets were sold, an increase of about 393,000, or 26%, reaching 97% of the year's ticket target.

Approximately 100,000 free visits by children under one metre accompanied by parents were also served. Those visits are included in the approximate two-million total; they should not be added again as a separate increase.

Land costs and remaining obligations

Management expenses exceeded 69 billion dong, including about 46.5 billion in land-rent costs relating to previous years and 2026. That expense recognition is distinct from cash paid during the period.

The company paid 44.4 billion dong in taxes and other state obligations, including more than 31.9 billion in land-related taxes and rent. Pretax profit was 7.1 billion dong, almost 22% higher and 87% of the annual target.

The city-owned company has operated without budget support since 2015. Management said the final months would prioritise visitor services, animal and plant care, and payment of remaining land-rent obligations. These are ongoing priorities, separate from the completed nine-month financial results.
