Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho received the comprehensive excellence awards at the southern Region VI folk-singing festival for older people, Bao Van Hoa reports. The closing ceremony took place in Can Tho on October 5 after eight teams completed their performances. Organisers also awarded three first prizes and three second prizes and honoured the two oldest participants. The programme presented regional folk traditions while providing a setting for older performers to meet and share their artistic interests.
