Vietnam's U16 team lost 1-0 to host China at the 2026 CFA Team China invitational. The Vietnam Football Federation reported a first-half penalty save by goalkeeper Gia Bao and a Minh Quang header that struck the post.

Vietnam created chances but did not score. This was a youth-team friendly result, separate from the senior men's national team's record.
