Van Xuan Dan Phuong came from behind to defeat Hanoi Bulls 2-1 in the final Group A fixture of round two in the 2026 national third division. The Vietnam Football Federation reported that the match took place at Dan Phuong in Hanoi on October 16, with both winning-team goals arriving after half-time.

A late goal completes the turnaround

Nguyen Hai Nam put Hanoi Bulls ahead in first-half stoppage time. Their lead lasted through the interval, but Nguyen Hoang Nam equalised in the 52nd minute.

Nguyen Quoc Khanh then scored in the 89th minute to secure Van Xuan's victory. VFF's result notice identifies the three scorers and confirms the completed score.

The game concluded the second round in Group A after other fixtures had been played the previous day.

Promotion places remain the wider objective

In its October 15 report, VFF had Tay Mo leading the group with six points after two wins. The earlier programme included Hanoi's third-division side beating Ninh Binh Sports Centre II 4-2 and Tay Mo defeating Binh Dinh 2-0.

VFF's amended competition regulations and tournament introduction describe 12 teams divided into two groups. Each group plays a double round-robin at designated host venues.

The top two from each group, four teams in total, qualify for the 2027 national second division. The competition runs from October 12 to November 9, leaving further rounds before promotion is settled. Van Xuan's second-half response therefore supplies a completed win within that continuing campaign.
