Vietnam have added Khuat Van Khang to their November squad, taking the total to 27 players. VFF confirms that the Thể Công Viettel midfielder is the fourth addition before the Casper Cup at Thien Truong stadium.

Four additions across the squad

Nguyen Dang Duong of Hung Yen, Le Quoc Nhat Nam of Thể Công Viettel and Nguyen Duc Anh of Hanoi were called up earlier. VFF's preceding announcement identifies them as a forward, midfielder and defender respectively.

Dang Duong has represented Vietnam at under-19, under-20 and under-23 levels and was part of the 2023 ASEAN U23 title-winning team. Nhat Nam won bronze with the under-22 side at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia. Duc Anh, born in 2003, developed at Hanoi and has been selected for under-20 and under-23 teams.

The four additions form one round of personnel changes, with VFF's latest announcement setting the squad size at 27.

Van Khang's international background

A Viettel academy graduate, Van Khang has appeared at three consecutive AFC U23 Asian Cup finals. He captained Vietnam to third place in 2026, alongside earlier achievements including the 2024 ASEAN Cup and SEA Games gold with the under-22 team.

VFF's plan is for the squad to assemble on 8 November, then meet Chinese Taipei on 11 November and Kyrgyzstan on 17 November in Ninh Binh. Those are the next scheduled steps after the additions. Related coverage is available through Vietnam national team fixtures.
