Vietnam ranked 43rd among the 139 economies assessed in the World Intellectual Property Organization’s 2026 Global Innovation Index, VietnamPlus reported. The country moved up one place from 2025, while its ranking for innovation outputs improved by two places.
Vietnam placed second among lower-middle-income economies, behind India, which ranked 38th overall. The results show an improvement in Vietnam’s position within WIPO’s assessment and provide a reference for tracking both the resources supporting innovation and the outputs they produce.
