Hanoi leads the 2026 Provincial Innovation Index with 63.80 points, according to the published results. It is the city's fourth consecutive first-place finish since the index was introduced in 2023. Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh follow among the leading localities. The result concerns this year's assessment of Vietnamese localities and should be distinguished from the separate global innovation ranking of national economies.
