Vietnam lose Asian Games shooting final place after clothing check
Phí Thanh Thảo and Nguyễn Tâm Quang placed fourth in the mixed 10 m air-rifle qualification with 631.7 points, but their result and final berth were cancelled after a clothing check. The 2.9 mm indentation was below the 3 mm threshold; it measured stiffness, not thickness.

Phí Thanh Thảo and Nguyễn Tâm Quang scored 631.7 points to place fourth in the mixed 10 m air rifle qualification at the Asian Games on September 22. Their result and final berth were subsequently invalidated following clothing checks, VnExpress reported.
The stiffness test recorded 2.9 mm of indentation, below the 3 mm minimum described in the report. The equipment had passed an earlier inspection, but post-qualification checks were still permitted. The measurement concerns stiffness testing, not the thickness of the clothing.
