Trịnh Thu Vinh and Phạm Quang Huy scored a combined 578 points in the ASIAD 2026 mixed 10-metre air pistol qualification on September 25. VnExpress reported that the score exceeded the previous qualifying record by one point but placed the pair sixth; only the top four advanced to the final.

The Vietnamese shooters tied a North Korean pair on points but had fewer inner tens. Their 578-point result brought neither a medal nor a place in the medal round.
