Vietnam placed sixth in the women’s 10-metre air pistol team event at the 2026 shooting world championships in Doha, Qatar, with 1,715 points. SGGP identified the team as Trịnh Thu Vinh, Nguyễn Thùy Trang and Bùi Thúy Thu Thủy.
Qualification scores and team result
In the individual qualification results reported on 5 November, Thu Vinh scored 580 points and finished ninth. Thùy Trang was 47th with 568, while Thu Thủy placed 54th with 567. None of the three reached the individual final.
Their combined team score was 30 points behind gold medallist China, which recorded 1,745. The team total and the individual qualification positions describe different classifications within the event.
SGGP reported that the same Vietnamese trio had won team bronze in women’s 10m air pistol at ASIAD 20 more than a month earlier. The Doha placing is a separate result at a different competition.
A 14-shooter Vietnamese squad
The newspaper also reported an earlier men’s 25m rapid fire pistol result: Phạm Quang Huy placed 14th with 581 points, Hà Minh Thành 22nd with 578, and Vũ Tiến Nam 46th with 564. Their combined 1,723 points placed Vietnam seventh in that team classification.
The championships are scheduled to run until 14 November, with 14 Vietnamese shooters entered across men’s and women’s pistol and rifle events. SGGP says the International Shooting Sport Federation recognises the competition within the 2028 Olympic quota system. The report does not establish that the results above secured Vietnam a quota place. Remaining events require their own official results.
