The EFL Cup fourth round is played in the week beginning 26 October, between Premier League Matchweeks 8 and 9, with 13 top-flight clubs still in the competition and six of the eight ties pitting Premier League sides against each other, according to the Premier League website. The headline tie takes Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso back to Anfield to face his former club Liverpool on Wednesday 28 October at 8pm UK time, which is 03:00 on Thursday 29 October in Vietnam.
