Zheng Qinwen defeated Mirra Andreeva 7-5, 6-4 in the China Open final on 11 October, becoming the first Chinese woman to win the Beijing tournament, VnExpress reported. She saved three set points in the opener before taking the decisive points to close the match. It was her first WTA 1000 title. Zheng entered the tournament with a wild card and finished it with a victory in front of her home crowd.
