Organisers recorded 232,460 in-person participants across 34 provinces and cities at the launch of Vietnam's 2026 mass sports participation campaign, according to Báo Văn Hóa on 11 October. Over two days, activities around Hoàn Kiếm Lake and Đông Kinh Nghĩa Thục Square included walking, running, demonstrations and opportunities to try different sports. The campaign encourages residents to choose a suitable sport and practise regularly.
