Bac Ninh and Dong Nai drew 0-0 on October 18 in a meeting of two promoted V-League clubs.

BongdaPlus reported that the draw gave Dong Nai their first point of the 2026-27 season. Bac Ninh moved to four points after a match in which neither side found enough accuracy in front of goal.

Dong Nai hit the post

Dong Nai entered the game without a point or a goal and with six goals conceded. Bac Ninh hoped to make home advantage count after an encouraging display against Ha Noi FC in the previous round.

The opening stages produced few clear opportunities. Van Dai headed wide for Bac Ninh in the 33rd minute.

Dong Nai threatened shortly before half-time. Nguyen Cong Phuong's free-kick forced goalkeeper Van Cong into a difficult intervention, and Tu Nhan struck the post from the rebound.

The chance did not end Dong Nai's wait for a first league goal, and the teams reached the interval level.

Chances go unfinished

Dong Nai began the second half with greater attacking intent but missed a headed opportunity in the 50th minute. Cong Phuong was replaced by Quoc Loc seven minutes later.

Bac Ninh subsequently generated more pressure. Two attempts by their foreign forward, in the 59th and 63rd minutes, went wide and over the crossbar respectively.

Neither team managed a decisive breakthrough in the closing stages.

Dong Nai ended their sequence of defeats, although their attacking difficulties remained unresolved after four rounds. Bac Ninh added another point to their early-season total as both clubs continued adapting to the top division.
