The producers of Bắt cá ba tay have released first-look images featuring Ngô Kiến Huy, Steven Nguyễn and Otis. Directed by Như Trang, the romantic comedy is scheduled for December 4. Its initial publicity introduces the male characters while keeping the female lead undisclosed.
Three contrasting character styles
Ngô Kiến Huy adopts an approachable, humorous image following his work on Quý tử vượt giàu. Steven Nguyễn plays a mature, successful man whose appeal is framed through calmness and confidence. Otis brings a more mischievous quality.
For Steven, the romantic-comedy setting differs from the stronger, more forceful characters associated with earlier appearances. The new presentation emphasises interaction and connection as well as physical styling. These descriptions come from advance project publicity, not a review after public screenings.
The appearance of three men alongside a concealed female character has prompted curiosity about the relationships. Producers are revealing information gradually and have not disclosed the complete plot or ending.
A director with music-video experience
Như Trang was previously known for directing music videos and developing a distinctive visual style. The production team says it wants to share the pressures around the film so she can concentrate on storytelling.
Its representatives described every film as a risk, rather than treating that uncertainty as unique to first features. Their stated approach is to support creative work collectively.
Bắt cá ba tay is a film title, not a description of the actors' private relationships. Earlier projects' box-office performance provides career background; this new film has yet to establish its own commercial result.
