Binh Chung Thong Tin returned to fourth place in Vietnam's national women's volleyball league after the October 17 matches. Tuoi Tre reported that their win, combined with LPBank Ninh Binh's defeat, reversed the teams' positions.
All four matches in the daily round-up ended in straight sets. HCDG Lao Cai stayed first, Hanoi remained second and defending champions VTV Binh Dien Long An occupied third.
Lao Cai strengthen their lead
Lao Cai beat Ninh Binh 25–21, 25–20, 25–18, handling the decisive stages of each set more effectively.
Binh Chung Thong Tin then defeated XMLS Thanh Hoa 25–14, 25–17, 25–15. That result restored their fourth-place position and left Ninh Binh fifth at the reporting stage.
Hanoi and Long An keep pace
Hanoi overcame VietinBank 25–18, 29–27, 25–16. The extended second set did not prevent a 3–0 win or change Hanoi's place behind the leaders.
Long An beat Geleximco Hung Yen 25–11, 25–18, 25–19. The champions retained third, while Hung Yen suffered a tenth defeat since the competition began.
The second phase runs in Vinh Long from October 14 to 25. Eight teams continue a single round-robin, with the top four proceeding to the semi-finals. The remaining teams contest places five to eight, and the bottom side is relegated.
Fourth place therefore matters directly to the title race, but the October 17 table does not establish the final semi-final line-up while this phase is still continuing.
