The four semi-finalists of Vietnam's 2026 national women's volleyball championship are now known. On 21 October in Vĩnh Long, Binh chủng Thông tin, the army Signal Corps team, came from a set down to beat LPBank Ninh Bình 3-1 and take the last place. They join Hóa chất Đức Giang Lào Cai (HCĐG Lào Cai), defending champions VTV Bình Điền Long An and Hà Nội, who had already qualified.

How the decider turned
Thanh Niên said Binh chủng Thông tin started tense and made repeated reception errors, dropping the first set 25-20. Hoàng Thị Kiều Trinh and American import Temi Thomas-Ailara were the standouts as coach Phạm Văn Long's side levelled with a 25-17 second set, Thanh Niên said. SGGP pinpointed the turning point after that: Ninh Bình setter Nguyễn Thị Thủy was injured and replaced by Bùi Thị Huyền, Ninh Bình lost their rhythm, and Binh chủng Thông tin took the next two sets 25-21 and 25-18. Tuổi Trẻ noted that Ninh Bình, the reigning runners-up, entered this phase without their strongest line-up and have slipped to fifth, which puts them in the relegation group.
Earlier, Hà Nội took the opening set 25-23 against VTV Bình Điền Long An before losing the next three. According to SGGP, the defending champions moved up to second on 30 points from 13 matches (nine wins, four losses), with Hà Nội third on the same win-loss record. Tuổi Trẻ said it was Hà Nội's third straight defeat after they opened the season with eight wins in a row.
