Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade held an October 9 consultation on a draft goods import-export strategy through 2030, with a vision to 2045. The discussion emphasizes added value, domestic production capacity and stronger supply-chain participation alongside trade expansion. The draft proposes average annual export growth of 15–16% for 2026–30. The ministry is still gathering feedback and preparing the document for submission to the government, so the figures remain proposed targets.
