Vietnam's Finance Ministry is consulting on draft guidance for its 2026-2030 sustainable-business support programme. Government News reported proposals spanning awareness campaigns, advisory services, technology, trade promotion, training and programme finance.
Connecting businesses with expertise
The draft proposes a consultant network and digital platform serving companies, household businesses, cooperatives and cooperative groups. The platform would provide documents and assessment tools while connecting users with experts, financial organisations and investors.
Existing information systems would be prioritised for integration to avoid duplication and unnecessary spending. Conferences and forums could be held in person, online or in hybrid formats to exchange practical experience and connect businesses with support providers.
Financial institutions would be encouraged to develop relevant credit products and mobilise domestic and international funding. Public-private initiatives would also support investment with social and environmental benefits.
Technology, standards and market access
Proposed advice covers business assessments, strategy, governance, green transition plans and circular-economy models. Other areas include environmental, social and governance reporting, traceability, quality standards, intellectual property and technology transfer.
Technology assistance would cover product testing, measurement, inspection, certification and digital transformation solutions. Trade-promotion proposals include e-commerce account costs and participation in domestic and overseas exhibitions, including booth-related expenditure and travel for business representatives.
The draft also addresses the preparation, allocation, management and settlement of programme budgets. Feedback is being gathered through the Finance Ministry's portal as it works toward final implementation guidance for Programme 926.
