The Ministry of Industry and Trade held a national meeting on September 29 to promote rooftop solar for self-generation and consumption at public offices, schools, hospitals and households. Deputy Minister Truong Thanh Hoai chaired the in-person and online event with regulators, electricity businesses and local authorities.
The meeting addressed policy explanations, implementation obstacles and progress under Directive 10/CT-TTg of March 30, 2026. The ministry linked the effort to anticipated growth in electricity demand, particularly in northern Vietnam.
