Key transport projects had disbursed VND105.257 trillion from their 2026 state-budget plans by September 21, equal to 40.7% of allocated capital. The Finance Ministry presented the figures at a September 29 meeting with the Construction Ministry, covered by VietnamPlus on September 30.
This was below the 57% national average cited at the meeting. Obstacles include land clearance, materials, costs and project execution. The ministries called for project reviews and appropriate capital reallocation. The 40.7% rate concerns the key transport portfolio, not all national public investment.
