Brighton remains without Yankuba Minteh, Mats Wieffer and Kaoru Mitoma for the Crystal Palace meeting, the club reported on October 16. Fabian Hurzeler said Pascal Struijk requires further assessment after another recovery day.

Different recovery stages

The coach hopes Minteh and Wieffer can return relatively soon after this weekend. He expressed a wish to have Mitoma back before the international break while stressing patience.

Those are estimates rather than guaranteed return dates. Minteh has not played competitively this season after a preseason injury.

Struijk benefits from an additional recovery day before the next training assessment. His fitness question is separate from his previously overturned red card and does not reinstate that suspension.

Strong form meets derby history

Brighton is unbeaten in six matches across competitions and seeks a fourth consecutive Premier League win. The club records 13 points and 18 goals from the first six league games.

Palace, however, has won three of the latest four league meetings, while Brighton lost its last two home league games against the rival. Current momentum does not erase that history.

Dean Henderson, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Takehiro Tomiyasu were expected to be in contention for Palace in earlier Pierre Sage comments. Ben Chilwell is being assessed and Axel Disasi is suspended.

The Amex match begins at 2pm UK time on Sunday, or 8pm in Vietnam. The update defines absences and unresolved cases rather than the complete starting lineups or an outcome already achieved.
