Bùi Vĩ Hào is continuing rehabilitation following surgery for a right-knee injury suffered in July. In a 15 October update reported by BongdaPlus, he said he could walk normally but was not yet able to run quickly. He estimated that returning to work with a ball might require roughly another two months.

Different stages of the comeback

The player is rehabilitating at the centre of national-team doctor Trần Huy Thọ. The update concerns his present mobility rather than confirming readiness for full squad sessions or competitive matches.

BongdaPlus also cites an initial medical estimate of at least eight months away following the injury. That broader recovery outlook should be distinguished from the player's estimate for restarting ball work.

A possible return to training alongside his Becamex TP.HCM teammates is placed after Lunar New Year. The report presents that timing as a projection, not a club-confirmed comeback date.

Injuries have interrupted his progress

Vĩ Hào previously underwent surgery after an injury in March 2025. He resumed training late that year and returned to playing during the second phase of the 2025/26 season.

The earlier absence kept him out of Vietnam's U23 squads at the 2025 SEA Games and 2026 Asian U23 finals. His international background also includes selection by Kim Sang Sik for the 2024 AFF Cup.

The latest account marks progress towards normal movement. Running, ball work, group training and competition remain separate steps, and the quoted estimates do not guarantee when each will be completed.
