Ca Mau has announced plans for a November cultural programme and the second Ca Mau Shrimp Festival, according to Bao Van Hoa.

The proposed event runs from November 21 to 25. Attendance, funding and exhibition numbers remain planning figures rather than completed results.

Cultural programme

Performances are intended to feature the traditions of the local Kinh, Khmer and Hoa communities.

The listed forms include don ca tai tu, Romvong and Ro bam dance, du ke, five-tone music and lion dance.

Traditional clothing, street performances, craft displays and food spaces are also planned.

The programme includes community activities beyond the main stage, alongside sporting and singing events.

Detailed arrangements remain part of the forthcoming organisation.

Shrimp festival and local promotion

The plan provides for 350 booths covering shrimp-related business, OCOP products, food and other exhibits.

Industry conferences and cooking demonstrations are intended to support product promotion and commercial contact.

Those objectives do not establish that investment or trading contracts have already been signed.

The opening is scheduled for the evening of November 21 at Phan Ngoc Hien Square, with projected attendance of 500-700 invited delegates and 8,000-10,000 other participants.

Estimated spending is about 31 billion dong, mostly expected from sponsorship and fundraising.

Tourism businesses are being encouraged to develop connected products for the event period. Actual delivery and attendance will require confirmation once the programme takes place.
