Cà Mau authorities have been told to identify the causes, responsibilities and remedies for each stalled development. The Government News reported that a November 3 meeting chaired by provincial Party secretary Nguyễn Hồ Hải reviewed 72 projects, with difficulties addressed at 33.
Different outcomes within the review
The 33 projects remain under monitoring for further issues. Resolving obstacles is a project-management status, not confirmation that every associated construction work is finished or commercially operating.
The province separately reported withdrawal of investment approval and termination of four projects: the Khóm 10 high-density residential area in Sông Đốc, a high-quality forest-seedling production centre, the Rau Dừa market residential housing project and an exhibition-fair complex.
The ongoing review requires agencies to distinguish the issues within their powers and the appropriate remedy for each project. Reviewing individual files is therefore central to the instruction rather than treating the monitored list as a single category of violation.
Authority and continuing supervision
Nguyễn Hồ Hải asked agencies to resolve matters within their powers without shifting responsibility. Issues beyond their authority must be reported with proposals for the competent level.
Working Group 01 will continue coordinating with departments and localities, with progress updated through System 751. Provincial chairman Lữ Quang Ngời co-chaired the meeting.
The next task is specific action on unresolved cases and continued oversight of projects whose obstacles were addressed. The stated aim is to prevent prolonged waste of land and resources, with progress demonstrated through individual project decisions.
