Aleksander Čeferin intends to seek a final term at UEFA’s April 22, 2027 Congress in Astana after accepting a request from all 55 member associations, UEFA announced. The Berlin meeting also put forward FIFA reform proposals and called for new leadership, with Azerbaijan’s association excepted from agreement on that reform direction. The release establishes a candidacy intention and policy positions, rather than an election outcome or reforms already enacted by FIFA.
