Đà Nẵng has approved more than VND 919.5 billion for technical infrastructure at a resettlement area in Bà Nà Commune. Decision 4797/QĐ-UBND covers component two of a project serving land clearance for the city's free trade zone, with implementation planned for 2026–2029.

Roads, drainage and wastewater works

The project spans approximately 65.38 hectares: about 55.66 hectares for construction and 9.72 hectares for technical-infrastructure treatment. It is intended to provide resettlement for free-trade-zone locations four to seven in Bà Nà and for neighbouring projects.

Approved works include ground levelling, roads, stormwater drainage, wastewater systems, electricity, public lighting, parks, trees and utility trenches. A bridge on route LKV30 will connect ĐT602 with the western ring road.

The wastewater component includes a pumping station rated at 55 litres per second. An additional treatment module with capacity of 1,000 cubic metres per day is intended to raise the plant's total capacity to 2,000 cubic metres per day.

Supporting the wider free trade zone

The Đà Nẵng Free Trade Zone was established by a prime ministerial decision on June 13, 2025, becoming Vietnam's first such zone. Its overall area is approximately 1,881 hectares across seven non-contiguous locations, covering production, logistics, commerce, services, digital technology and innovation.

Functional areas have defined boundaries and customs-control requirements. Goods exchanged with outside areas are subject to import and export rules. The resettlement infrastructure is part of the preparation for that wider development. Approval establishes the project's investment framework; it does not mean construction has finished or the entire budget has already been disbursed.
