VnExpress reported early on 14 October that banks were quoting the euro below VND30,000. Vietcombank's approximate rates were VND28,500 to buy and above VND29,700 to sell per euro, with other banks differing by time and transaction method. The report describes informal-market quotes close to banking rates and places the movement in the context of a weaker euro against the dollar. These are quoted rates at publication, rather than guaranteed prices for subsequent transactions.
