Vietnam's November international friendly tournament with Chinese Taipei and Kyrgyzstan has been extended to 17 November. The competition at Thiên Trường Stadium in Ninh Bình was originally scheduled to finish on 15 November.

The adjustment is intended to provide more suitable recovery intervals. The three teams will play a single round-robin, with points determining the final standings.

Vietnam's opener stays on 11 November

Vietnam still face Chinese Taipei at 7pm on 11 November. The second matchday is scheduled for 14 November, before the hosts meet Kyrgyzstan on 17 November.

The opening date therefore remains unchanged for Vietnam, while the final fixture moves to the tournament's new finishing date. Each team will have two matches under the three-team format.

Chinese Taipei are listed as 176th in the FIFA ranking used by the report. The fixture offers coach Kim Sang-sik an opportunity to review his squad and consider different personnel.

Kyrgyzstan offer another test

Kyrgyzstan, listed at 104th, have qualified for the 2027 Asian Cup. Their recent results include a 3-1 win over Lebanon and a 5-0 victory against Maldives, providing the background to expectations of a stronger test.

Vietnam also have plans to face Japan in late December and Qatar in early 2027 as Asian Cup preparation. Those proposed fixtures depend on the continental tournament's arrangements. The specific November update is the longer schedule at Thiên Trường, ending with Vietnam against Kyrgyzstan on 17 November.
