Hanoi FC earned their first victory of the 2026-2027 season by defeating Bac Ninh 1-0 in V-League round three on October 11. Andrew Jung finished Nguyen Hai Long's low cross after Kevin Felida helped build the move. VnExpress reported that Bac Ninh had earlier missed a chance to lead when Brenner failed to convert a penalty. Harry Kewell's side collected their first three league points after losing their opening two matches. The result ended Hanoi's difficult opening run across competitions.
