More than 48,700 businesses completed dissolution procedures in the first nine months of 2026, up 118.8% year on year, VnExpress reported, citing Vietnam's statistics agency. Nearly 89,800 businesses temporarily suspended operations, while about 33,500 stopped operating pending dissolution. Newly established and reactivated businesses totalled around 223,900, down 3.2%. The figures describe separate stages of business activity: completed dissolution, temporary suspension and entry or re-entry into the market.
