IEA member countries have released 325 million barrels of oil and petroleum products under the coordinated action announced on March 11, more than 80% of the 400-million-barrel commitment, VietnamPlus reported. The update followed a G7 plan to release 100 million barrels of crude and diesel. The G7 had not clarified whether that amount includes the remainder of the IEA commitment or is additional. The 325 million barrels therefore describes reported releases, while the relationship between the two plans remains unclear.
