Luu Diem Quynh won bronze in the Asian Games women’s 75kg boxing event after a 5-0 semifinal defeat by Bao Ziyi, Van Hoa reported. The result gives the Vietnamese boxer medals at two consecutive Games.
Diem Quynh tried to use her height and reach, but the Chinese opponent moved effectively and held the advantage across the rounds. This is a separate 75kg result from Nguyen Thi Tam’s progress to the 51kg final at the same Games.
