Manchester United Women beat Charlton Athletic 3-1 at The Valley to record a fifth consecutive victory in all competitions.
The club's official report said Eva Olid retained the team that had beaten Liverpool before the international break. Ella Toone, Andrea Medina and Julia Zigiotti scored before half-time.
Goals arrive quickly
Toone opened the scoring in the sixth minute after Elisha N'Dow's attempted intervention left the ball in her path. Her looping finish went in off the woodwork.
Hanna Lundkvist then advanced and supplied Medina, who made it 2-0 four minutes later.
Charlton replied through Leah Davidson in the 13th minute following Jodie Hutton's cutback.
United continued to create chances. Zigiotti hit the crossbar before completing a passing move in the 31st minute, finishing from Jess Park's delivery to restore the two-goal advantage.
United maintain control
Park created another opening for Toone after the interval, but the finish went wide. Elisabeth Terland also forced a save from Sophie Whitehouse after turning her marker.
Substitute Simi Awujo made her 50th United appearance. Lea Schuller struck the post after coming on, while Monica Jusu Bah threatened during stoppage time.
No further goals followed, and United protected the 3-1 lead established in the opening half.
The team next travel to Liverpool in the Players Cup on Wednesday evening. The result at Charlton maintained their momentum after the international break and rewarded their early attacking efficiency.
