Mastermind, released in Vietnam-related coverage as Trinh chiến, has been withdrawn from mainland Chinese cinemas after five days, VnExpress reports, citing Sinchew. The film starring Louis Koo and Ci Sha earned about 4.5 million yuan during that run. Producers said they would refine the work and seek a more suitable return date. The October 7 report said its October 8 Hong Kong release remained scheduled, distinguishing the mainland withdrawal from its status in other markets.
