Ninh Binh secured a men's volleyball semi-final place by beating Ha Noi 3-1 at Phu Tho Sports Hall on November 2, SGGP reported. They join Bien Phong MB, The Cong Tan Cang and Cong an TP.HCM in the confirmed leading four.
Four sets settle a direct contest
Ninh Binh won the first two sets 25-23 and 25-21. Ha Noi responded 25-17 in the third before Bui Trung Thao's side completed the victory with another 25-23 set.
SGGP highlighted Boy Arnez Arabi's contribution against Ha Noi's block. Both sides used their strongest available line-ups in a direct contest for qualification.
The win lifted Ninh Binh to fourth and secured progress with two rounds remaining. Ha Noi dropped to fifth and missed the semi-finals in the standings described by the report.
Qualification is separate from the draw
The four qualifiers do not establish every final position. SGGP identifies the November 4 and 5 rounds as the remaining programme that determines the order and resulting semi-final pairings.
Defending national champions Bien Phong MB were unbeaten and assured of first place at the reporting point. Other qualifiers still have positions to contest.
TP.HCM, Ha Noi, Sanest Khanh Hoa and Da Nang also need their remaining results to establish positions before the relegation phase. The next step is therefore completing the table and subsequent match-ups. The semi-final field is known, but pairings should await the confirmed final order.
