Quang Tri’s tax authority had processed land-use payment refunds exceeding VND100 billion for more than 900 cases by the end of September 2026, according to VietnamPlus. The refunds followed recalculation of financial obligations for qualifying households and individuals who had converted land to residential use under the relevant policy. Applicants were guided through documentation so authorities could review eligibility and determine any overpayment. The reported total covers cases already processed. It does not mean that every land-use conversion qualifies for a refund or that all pending applications have been approved.
