Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) and Cong An Ha Noi (CAHN) drew 1-1 at Vinh Stadium on 31 October in round 6 of the 2026/27 V.League. Luiz Guilherme put the hosts ahead on 41 minutes and Leo Artur levelled on 70, but the night will be remembered for a rare red card: CAHN centre-back Adou Minh was dismissed on 87 minutes while still warming up on the touchline.

How the match unfolded

Coach Van Sy Son set SLNA up to defend compactly and counter against the reigning champions, according to Bao Van Hoa. The plan worked in the first half, when Abdel-Amine Tran Duc Vinh slipped Luiz Guilherme in down the right and the Brazilian finished with his left foot past Nguyen Filip.

CAHN coach Mano Polking sent on Leo Artur and Frans Putros after the break, and Artur started and finished the equaliser, scoring after a one-touch lay-off from Perea. SLNA lost midfielder Ho Khac Ngoc to injury on 55 minutes, and then Le Van Quy on 77 minutes to a second yellow card for simulation; on 67 minutes the same player had gone down in the CAHN box without being given a penalty.

The red card nobody expected

According to Tuoi Tre, Adou Minh was among the substitutes warming up when he ran onto the pitch and kicked the ball away to stop SLNA's Joseph Onoja taking a quick free-kick. Referee Mai Xuan Hung showed him a straight red. Tuoi Tre and Dan Tri both point to Law 12 of the IFAB Laws of the Game, under which a substitute who enters without permission and interferes with play can be sent off. Under V.League rules he faces a ban of at least two matches, plus any extra sanction from the VFF disciplinary board.

Born in France in 1997 to a Vietnamese mother, Adou Minh joined Hong Linh Ha Tinh in 2024, moved to CAHN in 2025 and received Vietnamese citizenship in August before being called up for the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026.

Where it leaves the title race

SLNA went into the round top of the table with 11 points as the only unbeaten side, and they remain unbeaten after 6 games. Dan Tri reports that CAHN missed the chance to go top and sit third on 11 points. Bongda24h notes it is three V.League games without a win for the champions, after a 2-1 defeat to Ha Noi FC and a 1-1 draw with Thanh Hoa, and that tickets for the A1 stand in Vinh sold out roughly two hours after going on sale online.

What comes next

CAHN host Kyoto Sanga at 19:15 on 3 November in the AFC Champions League Elite. Their next two league games, according to Tuoi Tre, are against Cong An TP.HCM and leaders Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, likely without Adou Minh. Follow the schedule on our Công an Hà Nội fixtures page.
