South Korea will face Vietnam in the men’s football quarterfinals at the 2026 Asian Games after beating Saudi Arabia 2–0 on September 22. VnExpress reported that the victory secured first place in Group D with six points from two wins.
Vietnam’s U23 side lost 2–0 to Uzbekistan the same day but qualified as Group C runners-up with four points, the Vietnam Football Federation confirmed. Vietnam will now prepare for the last-eight meeting with South Korea.
