Vietnamese referee Le Thi Ly was appointed to officiate the September 29 Asian Games women’s football semifinal between Japan and South Korea. Thanh Nien said she had handled a semifinal at the Hangzhou Games three years earlier and worked group-stage matches at this edition.

The appointment is another career milestone.
