Vietjet reported consolidated revenue of VND 74.385 trillion for the first nine months of 2026, up 41% from a year earlier, according to Bao Chinh Phu and VnExpress. After tax profit reached VND 1.721 trillion, putting the airline at 86% of its annual revenue plan and 82% of its profit target.
Quarterly and cumulative activity
Third quarter revenue was VND 22.849 trillion, up 35%, with after tax profit of VND 348 billion. The airline operated 39,000 flights and carried 7.3 million passengers during that quarter. Across the full nine months, activity reached 111,700 flights, more than 20.7 million passengers and over 58,000 tonnes of cargo.
The results included passenger and cargo transport, ancillary services, aircraft trading and financing activities. Consolidated assets stood at VND 152.8 trillion on September 30. Net borrowing relative to equity was 2.4 times and the reported liquidity ratio was 1.38 times.
Routes and longer term investment
The network comprised 223 routes, including 176 international and 47 domestic services. Connections through Hanoi, Almaty and Prague broadened links between Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Europe. A Ho Chi Minh City–Western Sydney service has been announced for a planned January 2027 start.
Vietjet is also developing aircraft and technical capacity. Its partnerships cover prospective satellite internet with Starlink, Trent 7000 engine support from Rolls-Royce and LEAP maintenance capabilities with CFM International. A planned Long Thanh maintenance centre forms part of that effort.
Next comes the year end peak period, when the airline intends to receive more aircraft and develop routes in response to demand. The Western Sydney service remains a planned launch rather than an operating route.
