Vietjet and Da Nang signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement on November 4 covering aviation, tourism, trade and investment for 2026-2030. VnExpress reported that the partnership aims to expand domestic and international connections while promoting the city's destinations and tourism products.

Annual plans link marketing and air services

Cooperation will include market research, technology, digital transformation, cultural and tourism events, trade promotion and business connections. The partners also identified sustainable tourism and social responsibility among their activities.

Da Nang's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate annual plans with Vietjet and other organisations. Programmes will be selected according to market demand, the city's development priorities and the airline's operating plans.

A central element is aligning destination promotion with route operations and the supply of tourism products, so that marketing and transport capacity support each other.

More connections planned for December

Deputy city chair Nguyen Thi Anh Thi highlighted aviation's contribution to tourism, trade and investment. Vietjet deputy general director Do Xuan Quang described Da Nang as a gateway between central Vietnam and domestic and international economic and tourism centres.

The airline has operated direct services to India and worked on charter flights from Russia and CIS markets. Those activities form part of its existing cooperation with the city.

Vietjet plans to add Da Nang connections to Osaka in Japan and Jakarta in Indonesia from December 20. Alongside the new annual cooperation plans, the proposed services would broaden travel options and the city's access to international visitor markets.
