The World Bank raised its forecast for Vietnam's 2026 GDP growth to 7.4%, up 1.1 percentage points from its April projection, VnExpress reported. Its East Asia and Pacific update released on October 6 highlights manufacturing and exports linked to AI, alongside foreign investment and public spending, as sources of support. Vietnam is described as an important final-assembly location in the related supply chains. The 7.4% figure remains the World Bank's full-year forecast, rather than an officially recorded final annual growth rate.
