Organisers of the concert Tự hào là người Việt Nam (Proud to be Vietnamese), themed Nối vòng tay lớn, are giving away 8,000 free tickets, Tuoi Tre reported: 5,000 through online registration and 3,000 handed out in person. The show takes place on 1 November at Thái Nguyên Stadium, is expected to draw 30,000 people and will be broadcast live on VTV1 that evening. The remaining tickets go to central and local government agencies.
How to get a ticket
The tickets are distributed in two ways:
- Online (5,000 tickets): registration opened on 27 October in two rounds, at 10:00 and 15:00, through the Hệ thống Thông tin Tuyên giáo app. Applicants had to download the app and enter their full name, phone number, citizen ID number and a photo of their ID papers before registering; each citizen ID could claim only one ticket.
- In person (3,000 tickets): handed out from 8:30 to 11:30 on 30 October at Thái Nguyên Stadium.
Tuoi Tre has not reported how many tickets were claimed in the two online rounds. For anyone still without a ticket, the next chance is the in-person handout at the stadium on 30 October.
What is on the programme
The concert's content is directed by the Central Propaganda Commission and the event is hosted by the Thái Nguyên provincial Party Committee. It is linked to the National Great Unity Festival, Vietnam Culture Day (24 November) and the 80th anniversary of National Resistance Day (19 December), as well as the 195th anniversary of the province's founding. Organisers said classic songs would be blended with contemporary music, symphonic arrangements, rock and large-scale staging, so that every spectator feels part of the circle of unity rather than just an onlooker.
The line-up includes Đăng Dương, Tùng Dương, Hoàng Tùng, Hòa Minzy, Noo Phước Thịnh, Võ Hạ Trâm, Viết Danh, Viết Thu, Hồng Phi (Ngũ Cung), Bùi Lê Mận, Lâm Bảo Ngọc, Nhật Huyền, Phạm Anh Khoa, Hương Ly, Tố My and Bảo Trâm Idol. They are joined by the Symphony band, the Du Ca vocal group, Miss Vietnam titleholders, the choir of the Military Region 1 art troupe, 400 cadets from the Military Region 1 military school and hundreds of artists and dancers, with conductor Đồng Quang Vinh.
General director Nguyễn Trung Dũng said the theme tells the story of national unity, the strength that carried Vietnamese people through hard times. Starting from Thái Nguyên, a revolutionary heartland and ATK safe zone, the show links generations: those who fought and died, those now preserving and developing the country, and young people with big ambitions. He said he believes art can revive memories and stir national pride, and called this a practical contribution of the performing arts to the cultural industry.
