Four Vietnamese para-powerlifters are continuing their final preparations in Japan before the 2026 Asian Para Games. Van Hoa reports training and adaptation to competition conditions in Nagoya.

Four weight categories over two days

Le Van Cong competes in men's 49 kilograms and Nguyen Binh An in men's 54 kilograms on October 19. Dang Thi Linh Phuong enters women's 50 kilograms and Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan women's 55 kilograms on October 20.

The venue is Fukiage Hall at Nagoya's small and medium enterprise promotion centre. Training in Japan provides an opportunity to become familiar with conditions before competition.

The report clearly identifies dates and categories but does not explicitly state the timezone for its listed start times. Those times should therefore not automatically be labelled Vietnam time.

Technical preparation remains the focus

The source describes competitive categories requiring strength, technique and control under pressure. Appropriate weight selection is part of the task for each attempt.

Le Van Cong begins the Vietnamese programme, with Nguyen Binh An also competing on the first day before the women's categories follow. Those plans do not establish successful lifts, rankings or medals.

The overall delegation has 36 members, including 21 athletes in five sports. The four powerlifters are one part of that group rather than the entire team.

Le Van Cong is also scheduled to carry the national flag at the October 18 opening ceremony. That ceremonial role is separate from sporting results, which require the October 19–20 events to be completed and confirmed.
