Vietnam's seafood output was estimated at nearly 7.9 million tonnes in the first nine months of 2026, up 3.9%, VietnamPlus reported on 11 October. Shrimp exports reached USD 3.75 billion and pangasius exports USD 1.74 billion. The industry continues to target around USD 12 billion in annual exports, while higher input costs and potentially slower fourth-quarter orders put pressure on production and processing efficiency.
