Nguyen Duc Thuy has completed bonus payments totalling VND7.5 billion linked to Vietnam’s ASEAN Cup 2026 title, Thanh Nien reported on 6 September. The total combines a team allocation with separate awards for Hoang Duc and other Ninh Binh players who represented the national side.
Team money and individual awards
According to the report, VND6 billion went to the coaching staff and players as a group. Nguyen Hoang Duc received a separate VND1 billion. Five other Ninh Binh internationals each received VND100 million, making VND500 million for that group.
The VND7.5 billion figure therefore covers the combined payments, not a sum distributed entirely as a team award. The VND1.5 billion in individual bonuses is already included in that total; it should not be added to the headline figure again.
Following through on the pledges
Thanh Nien described the team allocation as three payments of VND2 billion, linked to milestones during the tournament. It reported that all three, as well as the individual awards, had reached their recipients.
The development reported on 6 September concerns completed payments after the competition. For national-team followers, it adds an off-field follow-up to the campaign and its sporting results.
Further bonus announcements are best read by separating newly promised sums from completed payments, then identifying who receives each allocation. Keeping team and individual awards distinct also prevents the same money from being counted twice.
